Nurse Manager

 

Carrollton Springs is seeking a Nurse Manager with a passion for providing innovative and exceptional psychiatric care to our patients at our 78-bed behavioral health hospital located in Carrollton TX.

 

Position Details:

 

As a key member of the nursing leadership team, the Nurse Manager assists the Market Director of Nursing in directing and monitoring all nursing activities within the hospital. Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with the recruitment, training, coaching, retention, and scheduling of inpatient nursing staff. Conducts evaluations and disciplinary action as needed.
  • Assisting in the review, revision, and development of policies and procedures.
  • Working collaboratively with other disciplines to enhance patient care and develop treatment plans.
  • Conducting and participating in meetings, trainings, and committees across the nursing department and the organization.
  • Working as an RN to deliver patient care and provide support to the nursing staff

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Graduate from an accredited program of professional nursing required.
  • Current unencumbered license to practice by the State Board of Nursing, valid driver’s license preferred.
  • CPR certification and Crisis Prevention Training (CPI) within 30 days.

Experience:

  • Previous experience in a psychiatric health care facility, with direct experience working with chemical dependency, dual diagnosis, psychiatric and geriatric patients preferred.
  • Two years’ leadership experience preferred.
